My image for December, which I captured near Norðurárdalur, Iceland last year. This photo was taken with my Mavic DJI 2 Pro at 1/500 second, f4, ISO 100. I cropped the image a bit in Lightroom and slightly straightened the horizon. I tried to do something with the sky but the right side was really blown out, so I did a sky replacement in Photoshop, the sky is from my one of my own photos. I lightened the shadows and toned down the bright highlights in the river.
Interesting note, if you see the two people on the bridge and look up and slightly to the right you can see a white spot on the cliff. That's a sheep, apparently if they get scared that's where they head. They won't come back on their own, the owner has to send a dog to herd them back to the top, Unfortunately we did not get to witness that.

Good shot of the river and bridge. Until I read the info you provided, I did not realize the sky replacement - nice pick for the sky, good blending, to me it looks like the way it may have been shot. I think the fields in the center above the river are a little light, perhaps a tad more saturation and decrease brightness?   Posted: 12/05/2024 01:47:50

Hi Richard, Thanks for the comments. I agree with you about the bright areas, I'll try your suggestions.   Posted: 12/13/2024 18:57:50

For images like this my first question is always "did you fly under the bridge"? :-)
Nicely put together and the sky replacement is convincing. As Richard said there are a few spots that might have used some burning (also the gravel in the foreground) but overall looks good

Hi Pete, thanks for the comments. No I did not fly under the bridge, it never crossed my mind. I should have a back up drone so I can be more daring.   Posted: 12/13/2024 18:56:31
