About the Image(s)

Shadows was taken in a cathedral square in Sicily in late afternoon. The image was flipped vertically and elongated to emphasize the shadows. The backlit people might have made the image interesting in another way, but there were a lot of people there and at that moment I was reacting to the shadows. Some people feel that the pavement makes the image disorienting. Then again this is the Fine Art category where ambiguity can proliferate.
