About the Image(s)
About: Nikon D500; Nikkor 105 micro; 1/400 sec @ f32; ISO 100.
When I took the image I planned to use it as the basis for some abstracts. But, I made the mistake of using autofocus. The bees in the original are terribly OOF. I restored the focus using Topaz Photo AI with the Beta version of super focus. In order to shorten the processing time, I selected the portion I wanted to sharpen, and only sharpened that portion in superfocus. In order to get a smooth restoration, the selection was made outside the area to be sharpened and a high feathering was applied, I didn't write down the exact amount. I took several tries to get a reasonable result. A reduced sharpening was selectively applied. In addition to the crop and sharpening, other adjustments were made in ACR for exposure, texture and color tone. As usual, all comments appreciated.
