About the Image(s)
Equipment: Nikon D300, Nikkor 18-200@62mm; 1/16 @ f8, ISO 1600
About: The image was taken in the Atlanta Aquarium. If you stuck needles under my fingernails, I could not honestly say whether the Atlanta Aquarium or the Monterey Bay Aquarium was more fascinating. Initial processing in ACR: rough crop, enhance; color and exposure. Topaz Gigapixel, PS, On1 NoNoise, Topaz Sharpen AI: changed background to black, enlarged selected subject, reduced noise and sharpened. Fine tuned in PS. All comments appreciated.

Hi Peter, Definitely electric. The tiny red areas make the image come alive. The grainy texture from cropping and sharpening to a small part of the scene helps make the critter otherworldly. The focus softness in parts of the image adds some depth. Interesting. Karl   Posted: 12/13/2024 15:17:48

I like your processing. It created an interesting extraterrestrial creature. In the original, ET looks concave with the cloverleaf at the bottom of a bowel. Processed, he looks convex. I like the horizontal flip. The crop looks tight to me. The jellyfish to the right of ET has wonderful tendrills, and is in a different position. I would try a different crop that would include the tendrilled one, and provide more room for them to move about as though they were in outer space.   Posted: 12/15/2024 17:40:34

Wonderful! I see an anemome waiting for prey, and not wanting to pay any electric bill. The patterns and red touches are gorgeous!   Posted: 12/20/2024 17:18:44
