About the Image(s)
After a long hard drought came rain. Leaves that bore autumn’s vivid colors danced joyously in the the transient puddles that formed in my driveway. I was irresistibly drawn to colors, changing shapes and reflections. I photographed this scene with a hand-held Canon R10, Canon RF 24-150 mm lens at 100 mm, a circular polarizer, and lens hood. Settings were: ISO 800, f 6.3, 1/40 Seconds.
I imported the image into Lightroom Classic and cropped, masked the subject and adjusted basic tone and presence settings.
Please tell me what you see in this image. If you then rotate it, the image presents new imaginings.

Hi Judith, You have a good 'eye' for seeing pictures in the larger scene. Great cropping! The increased clarity and saturation make the image more illustration than natural photograph. The shapes and red color suggest a cross burning and falling. The clarity enhancement gives the scene a very metallic feel, suitable for printing on glossy metallic paper or aluminum. Flipping the image horizontally may be stronger for a Western view of a falling cross. Definitely 'fine art' for its ambiguity. Karl   Posted: 12/13/2024 15:10:57

Many thanks Karl! The many interpretations of abstracts is fascinating to me. I did not see that burning cross, but having read your comment I can see it. I will take your suggestion of printing it on metallic paper. Thank you.

I'm not sure what I see in this; the red is popping out at me and probably I'm biased since we had our house damaged by a tree recently in a storm. I think the horizontal bar of the branch are like arms reaching out.   Posted: 12/18/2024 19:08:41

Great imagination!
I see a joyous animal - maybe a tail-less squirrel- extending his/her arms in a welcoming Xmas greeting. Very appropriate!   Posted: 12/20/2024 17:10:32
