About the Image(s)

This photo was taken last week with the iPhone 15 Pro at Newport, Key Largo. It's a reflection of a large boat docked there.

In Lightroom, I cropped, increased the orange and blue saturation and the overall saturation, lightened the image, and increased the texture.

Happy holidays!

Hi Freddie, The switch to vertical and contrast increase make an entirely new image. Emphasizing the detail in the ripples brings impact to the scene. Well done. Karl   Posted: 12/13/2024 15:27:25

I love distorted reflections in water. The way that rotations alter the interpretation and affect of an image is is fascinating, and your rotation of this image to a vertical orientation is particularly interesting. I see many tall thin warriors in full ceremonial garb in the vertical orientation, but in the horizontal original this abstract does not reveal warriors. Both are pleasing. I might have included the boat (or part of it) for yet another story.   Posted: 12/15/2024 19:10:48

Oooh. I am thinking feathers. What a lovely abstract, and you used a lot of creative thinking to get there.   Posted: 12/18/2024 19:13:57

Freddie, I love the textures throughout. I keep thinking it is some artifact left from pieces of a dyed yellow hide that is sewn together, which you found in an architectural dig in South America.   Posted: 12/19/2024 06:05:41
