Interesting travel photo. I really like the original's tonal range and, personally, prefer it over the processed version. In the processed image, some of the cobblestone detail toward the end of the alley seems to get lost, and the brighter areas feel a little less balanced. The colors also look slightly more saturated. I think a lighter touch in post-processing might look better.   Posted: 10/03/2026 02:13:13
Very interesting and helpful comments, thank you. How do you feel about the "vertical" lines of the buildings and archway that diverge upward but are corrected in my final image?   Posted: 10/03/2026 20:23:35
I love the image. I agree with Sunil that it is too bright at the end of the street. The whole image of a narrow alley takes us to the end, and its all blown out there. Ideally, we would like a subject there--a person, a great sky, etc.
Once you bring down the highlights at the end, you might consider adding some texture to your cobblestones and walls,i believe it will richen the image even more.   Posted: 10/06/2026 01:54:12

I love the composition! Sunil and Brenda gave good suggestions, and I have nothing more to add.   Posted: 10/06/2026 16:33:33
I've come to prefer the original comapared to what I considered to be my final. There is not much I can do about the blown detail at the end of the alley.   Posted: 10/06/2026 23:27:58
