It is a nice image depicting culture and religions in some part of China. I think it is valuable to include the orange stuff as it tells the 'what', a typical temple ornament. I do agree with Robert about cropping more space from the left so the pilgrim will not be so 'centered' in the image and having more space ahead of him. Perhaps, you want to keep the shadow behind the little pilgrim and that could be achieved by using PS crop expand, if that is allowed in the competition.   Posted: 08/03/2026 19:01:28

It's a wonderful capture. Hmmm...I'd probably crop the orange hangings to bring attention to the boy.

I do love the interesting shadow behind the boy on the wall (it looks like the snow leopard head), so I could see leaving it.

I would consider removing the yellow paper trash on the wall and at his feet, on the ground in the shadow and near his feet to minimize distractions.

I particularly like how authentic the "temple" is and his outfit. And then the very contemporary tennis shoes. It's a great story.   Posted: 08/05/2026 01:50:38

I love this image. I think it would be nice if you had a solid yellow background. Maybe if you had waited another second as he walked along. The red at the top is a little distracting. Here is a quick edit of what I'm talking about.   Posted: 08/14/2026 17:12:16

Great image. Here's another cropping suggestions - come in from the left so that it appears there is more room in front of the little pilgrim for him to walk and I find the white wall a bit distracting. Also, I might have darkened the shadows a bit.   Posted: 08/14/2026 22:14:39
