I had some fun with this image. I was in Port Townsend, WA a few weeks ago and I got this great parking lot sunset image.

After a significant amount of post processing and adding some generative fill water I came up with the final image which I personally really like. So, how could I make it better?

Amazingly realistic launching of the land-bound boats into water. (Facetiously) I'd have preferred not to have been told by how much the original had been altered in post as I like photographs to capture reality.   Posted: 08/03/2026 00:06:28

We live in an age of fake everything. I guess we need to just jump on that wagon from time to time.   Posted: 08/08/2026 01:23:14

That post-processing is really nice! If you hadn't mentioned showing the original, I might have thought the presented one is the original with minor enhancement.   Posted: 08/04/2026 18:08:57

Love the image and your clever post-processing.

You did have a lot of post-processing, given that you used a fish-eye. The sky seems a bit still fish-eye, where you have removed the fisheye from the boat. However, I think the fish-eye sky still works and adds interest.

Good on you to "imagine" the image and make it happen!   Posted: 08/05/2026 02:08:50

Very beautiful photo! Love the low-angle fisheye angle and how well-balanced everything looks. After your post-processing, the sky and glow are stunning! Just a tiny suggestion-maybe pop the brightness on the center boat or its reflection a little? Just my two cents, thanks for sharing!   Posted: 08/11/2026 01:20:40

Beautiful sky and great reflections. Only suggestion I have is maybe brighten the front boat and it's reflection a tiny bit.   Posted: 08/14/2026 22:16:14
