About the Image(s)
It has been a long and brutal winter here. This image, taken with an iPhone, shows some ground fog on one of the warmer days. No significant processing was done to the original.

Great capture-especially considering it was taken on a phone, though modern phones are quite capable these days. The scene has a nice, calm winter mood, and the fog adds a subtle atmospheric touch. I really like it-thanks for sharing.   Posted: 04/03/2026 02:59:21
It's such a lovely winter scene! I was thinking, maybe you could try capturing it from a different angle-perhaps with just one tree or a few trees in an odd number? I'm not really a fan of symmetry, you know? I did spot a tree trunk falling on the right, which does break up the symmetry a bit, but it still feels a bit too balanced to me.   Posted: 04/06/2026 17:30:18
I really like this image, but I really fell in love with the background so I removed the trees in the foreground, increased the clarity and de-haze and added a little vignette. Of course this makes it a whole different image but we don't have much fog around here and I find it appealing myself.   Posted: 04/07/2026 04:18:56
Glad you are out shooting, even in a killer winter!
Perhaps this would convert nicely to a monochrome? The color is so subtle that perhaps a b/w would make this even more mysterious and desolate.
I also like Ed's idea, but I know you aren't a fan of altering images much.   Posted: 04/08/2026 23:05:22

Love this image as it is. I feel like I could have walked to this spot in the snow and seen the trees, the fog and the background. Nicely done.   Posted: 04/18/2026 16:53:51
