About the Image(s)

f/8 1/160 second ISO-200 EV-1.33 8mm
Canon R5 with Canon EF 8-15mm f/4 Fisheye

I took this photo this past Summer at the High Plains Environmental Centerin East Loveland.

This is my usual post processing techniques including Adobe Denoise. I like to under expose my images because under exposure is much easier to fix than over exposure.

I also made the image more symmetrical by cloning over the left side to the upper right to eliminate the area where the
vegetation extends out of the field of view. I am a big fan of symmetry. Ialso removed the dog watering bowl.

The final image was produced from the RAW file but the original image here is the JPG file direct from the camera. I shoot RAW+JPG.

Nice post-processing. I am not a fan of symmetry, but this one with the fisheye lens, the curve made the symmetry less flat to me.   Posted: 12/04/2025 02:13:54

Ed, this is a great sweet image. So homey and inviting! I love the yellow sunlight in the green trees.

A couple of thoughts from me...the "inside" portion seems a bit bright on my monitor. Perhaps a bit of darkening or darkening to pop the barn/house a bit?

Another thought from me...a bit of vignette? Perhaps darken the outside sky to increase the sky blue and and a bit of darkening the mulch in the foreground.   Posted: 12/07/2025 22:40:07

This has a nice fairy tale feel to it.   Posted: 12/09/2025 02:06:37
