About the Image(s)
f/6.3 1/125 & 6 second ISO 5000 EV 0 45mm
Canon 6D with EF 24-105mm
This is a photo I made back in 2013. The cameras weren’t as good 12 years ago. I never got this image
into a state that I liked, it was just too soft and too noisy. What’s the original is the results of my 2013
edits. The true original is long gone but it was really bad.
So I worked on it once again recently using the new Adobe noise reduction software and then my usual
post processing in Photoshop (I don’t do Lightroom).
This is what I got. Look closely and you can see
some short star trails.
What do you think? Are the aspen colors too bright???

This is a beautiful photo - it has a lovely analog feel rather than a digital one, which might be due to the older sensor from that era. I really like that quality. I still use my Epson R-D1 rangefinder (M-mount, 2006) from time to time - it's definitely slow compared to modern cameras, but the files it produces have such a rich, film-like character that I really enjoy.   Posted: 11/01/2025 03:00:20
