About the Image(s)
In May I spent two weeks hiking in the Azores. This photo gives a flavor of the islands, narrow streets, white stucco buildings, red roof tiles, neat and clean.
This was taken with an iPhone because I could not take my large camera. In general my landscape photos were satisfactory, but close-ups of flowers left much to be desired.
This image was minimally processed with my standard editing program, Picture Window Pro.

What a pretty area! It feels so different from your rich and elegant images. It feels like it's missing something. I can't put my finger on it. Richer colors? Some texture? I'll wait and see what everyone says and see if someone has a good idea. I'll mull it over and see if I add something to the image.   Posted: 07/02/2025 21:19:09
It seems like the photo was taken around noon, and you didn't do much post-processing to make the colors and light more dramatic. The image shows a woman in a small village doing her daily chores on a sunny summer day. It's a peaceful and serene scene, without any wind or drama.   Posted: 07/02/2025 22:44:12
I thank Brenda and Jean for their comments and suggestions. I guess though that I'm a minimalist and want to get by with few changes. This was taken in rather early Spring, and the leaves were this color. I did try increasing the saturation, but the image soon began to feel unnatural.   Posted: 07/03/2025 20:34:58
This is a nice pleasant setting. Like Brenda I feel like something is missing but nothing you can do about it as the leading lines in the image go to a bland white building. I wish there had been something in front of the building or the street led to the church behind the building. Overall though a very pleasant serene image. Love the colors as they are.   Posted: 07/06/2025 17:26:57
Nice street photography and nice colors. I don't have any significant suggestions except try some different crops.   Posted: 07/08/2025 14:21:24
