About the Image(s)

I was back photographing in northern Florida, with a tour that takes us out in a boat on a lake to get images. This was the first time we had seen a snail kite on in this location.

This female flew by very closely--you can see I'm at 300mm and I hardly cropped.

I'm not sure I can do much with the image, as the sticks are very distracting. I can't remove them in a PSA Nature competition (its a reality based competition), but I could remove them for a PSA Color. But its not very compelling for Color--its just a bird flying--no mouse in its talons, etc.

But thought I'd share it anyway and see if anyone has any ideas for me. Thanks!

Nice capture. Not sure how much editing you can do that will be accepted for nature category. My suggestion is to make the bird stands out more by using color saturation and light contrast adjustment layers in PS and crop the image to 1x1 ratio.
