About the Image(s)

This image was taken at a wildlife sanctuary. This sanctuary recues animals that have been exploited in circuses, mom and pop zoos or private owners. The animals have either been abandoned, surrendered, or confiscated by authorities. Post processing was done in LR and On1 with adjustments to crop, highlights, shadows, color and vignette.

I just wish more humans had more respect for wildlife and like you said, thank goodness for those that stand up for animals.   Posted: 09/08/2023 15:46:33

Barbara, by showing us the original capture we can appreciate the crop you chose. I love this closeup view. You were wise to crop in enough to justify the loss of creature details. This image has great personality.   Posted: 09/08/2023 15:22:57

Barbara, nice close interaction between the Kangaroos. If it had not been by your explanation, there is no way to find out where and why. The darker animal looks older. Good of the existance of places like this. The image is sharp.   Posted: 09/09/2023 11:36:18

Barbara, thank you for explaining the explanation for this pair and I really hope institutions like this continue to survive. Their work is so important. Your tight crop works and you timed your image image perfectly showing nice interaction. Thank you for sharing.   Posted: 09/11/2023 01:33:46

Hi Barbara,
Nice interaction between these two kangaroos. I like the way the older one is holding the young one, and the younger one looks a little afraid. You did a fantastic job in editing this image; the crop works well, and the vignette helps concentrate the attention on the two fellows. My only suggestion is regarding the round platform that is right behind the kangaroo; maybe you can remove it or tone it down to avoid distractions.

Barbara, I particularly love the story in this image. The expressions in both of their faces really tell it all! Nicely done.   Posted: 09/22/2023 09:46:12
