About the Image(s)
On my last visit to Yellowstone last spring, we were able to see the Grizzly Mom with two 2 years cubs, still nursing. We were lucky to get a full display of the feeding act (main image) and a few minutes later we see the cubs with still milk spots in their snout.
The images were created with the Nikon Z9 with the Nikkor Z zoom 180-600 mm f/5.6-6.3 @ 600 mm and these settings: ISO 1800 (Auto), f/8 and 1/800 sec. The images were PP in LightRoom and cropped.

You were lucky Isaac with good grizzly sightings there - we only saw them in the Tetons park and brown bears in the Reserve at West Yellowstone. Lovely pictures, both.   Posted: 04/04/2026 23:13:32
Hi Isaac,
You were very lucky to find them and to witness that moment of nursing. I really like your original image, with the two bear's mouth covered in milk. I also think that Richard has offered a very nice version of these two cubs.   Posted: 04/12/2026 19:10:49

Hi Isaac,
What a great nature story, and you were very lucky indeed to witness and capture those moments! I like both images but Richard's version really focuses on the sweet contentment of the two bears after what has been a very satisfying nursing.   Posted: 04/17/2026 00:23:04
