Isaac: Terrific image - I love the detail on the dragonfly's wings, head and legs. This feels like a "macro image," but it seems that you captured it without macro equipment. How far were you from the dragonfly?   Posted: 03/10/2025 17:38:37

Isaac, Very nice image of the dragonfly, very sharp, nice pose, all four wings visible, beautiful color. Well done Bruce. Sorry to miss sending in my image this month, I was in Yellowstone and just biffed it, did not have time or the internet.   Posted: 03/12/2025 10:30:38

Hi Isaac,

I admire this beautiful capture, full of sharp detail and great colour contrast. I always struggle with the lack of detail in dragonfly wings due to the shallow depth of field, even when I try to position the camera parallel to maximise sharpness. Your image, however, showcases excellent detail throughout the wings and tail.   Posted: 03/12/2025 12:17:42

Hi Isaac - This is a fabulous image. Very simple, but all so sharp. I love the diagonal of the dragonfly and your use of f10 was enough to create a wide enough depth of field. Perfect background.   Posted: 03/21/2025 17:53:30
