About the Image(s)
For this month's image, I've chosen one that I took almost one year ago here in the North of Spain, in an area that is a natural reservoir. I came across this pair of white Shaws, and that I particularly liked was their pose and the interaction between them.

Maria, beautiful pair of white swans. Very sharp and with no distractions in the background. The reflection in the water adds interest. The swans also mate for life. Nice interaction as well.   Posted: 12/04/2024 16:22:50

Hi Isaac,
Thank you for your comment. I didn't know that swans mate for life-it's fascinating! I took this image at a nature reserve not far from my home in Spain. Here, the swans are white, which caught my interest since in Australia, we have black swans.

Maria - lovely lighting here and the bird's shape all make for a successful image. I very much the variety of colour in their necks and body. Great detail shown.   Posted: 12/15/2024 18:24:14

Hi Adrian,
The light was beautifully illuminating the swans, and the distance and darkness of the background helped create a sense of isolation that draws the viewer's attention exclusively to the swans and their reflection. Thank you for your comment!

Maria, this is such a fetching capture of a lovely moment between two graceful swans. Yes, the lighting and the dark background create a very dramatic effect. The swan to the right is glancing at the other swan whose facial expression is somewhat flirtatious.   Posted: 12/18/2024 16:42:50
