About the Image(s)
Take on Whiskey Mountain Wyoming. Whiskey Mountain is a refuge for bighorn sheep with ideal conditions for the bighorns. At 9,000 feet high the wind keeps the snow off the grass because of the 40 MPH winds. The -20F temps are common but no problem for them. I was in big trouble when the battery my brand new rental vehicle went dead just after sunset and the nearest help was 20 miles away when a BBC photographer came up the ridge and was able to give me a cable jump to get it started. I was not prepared for the temperature and wind and would have likely not made it through the night.

The interlocking horns and their expressions make this a very interesting shot, very sharp and well presented. Lovely.   Posted: 12/15/2024 18:20:54
Luckily, the other photographer was able to help you.
This is a wonderful image of the group of bighorn sheep in their natural environment. It effectively captures the action between the two males while the female appears indifferent. The image also benefits from strong visual eye contact, sharp details, and good separation from the background, which enhances its overall presentation.   Posted: 12/15/2024 19:18:21
