About the Image(s)
This was taken in the museum of the life of Fr?©d?©ric Auguste Bartholdi, in his birth town of Colmar, France. You will probably know him as the sculptor who created the Statue of Liberty. However, he was initially a painter, and then a sculptor, using stone, bronze, lead and other materials. He had a fascinating life, and I liked this statue of a man grappling with an eagle. It’s not my art, so I had to do something to make it original. The 6mm lens gave an interesting perspective, and my processing was heavy to emphasis the texture of the marble, and to isolate them from the background. Kedleston Hall is a National Trust property. It is a large English country house with a Palladian exterior and Neo-classical interiors, built in the 1760s, near Derby.
