About the Image(s)
The image was taken at a local stream cleanup event held annually every spring. The young volunteers came back with a good haul from this dam site. The image was converted to monochrome and resized in FastStone.
The hand held image was taken with a Canon 50D with exposure settings S=1/250s, f/5.6, and ISO=100.

The stream definitely needed a clean, well done to the kids.
I agree with Don the smiles are wonderful, I like the line of the pipe leading is to the second group, I would have "lost" the floating white piece in the river as does drag my eye away from the kids Posted: 04/03/2026 11:38:19

Yes, great job to those kids. The pipe has a lot of visual interest. I like the reflection of trees in the water on the upper frame, makes the otherwise empty water surface more interesting. Posted: 04/10/2026 16:41:57
