About the Image(s)
We were waiting for the doors to open at a jazz club in Soho, I had my R10 so I could be discrete taking pictures, Chinatown is close and this couple were standing checking their phones. The light from the girl’s phone on her face caught my eye and I did more post processing than usual!

I guess this is the present state of society, with heads buried in cell phones. Sad!   Posted: 04/03/2026 02:07:14
To be fair(!) the couple were in the middle of Chinatown and they probably were deciding where to go next   Posted: 04/03/2026 11:31:12
The "Critique Forum" in my camera club were extremely critical of the lack of light on the man's face; I personally thought just her face lit was OK. In the original her face is actually lit by the lights in Chinatown   Posted: 04/03/2026 11:33:57
Good job turning a busy street scene into a photo of just the couple. I like the image as is with light just on the woman's face as it creates more visual impact and drama.   Posted: 04/10/2026 16:26:59
