About the Image(s)
The covered bridge crosses a creek flowing through a steeply sided heavily wooded valley. The image was made with a tripod mounted Canon 50D at 55 mm. In Lightroom the image was cropped, then color temperature was warmed, texture and clarity were added before converting to monochrome. After conversion, some tonal adjustment were made to increase the luminosity of the wooded areas while maintaining contrast with the bridge. The exposure settings were S = 1/160s, f6.3, and ISO 100.

I think this is an interesting image with lots of detail. The detail on the bridge improves as I zoom in, which leads me to wonder if a bit of cropping (mainly of the foreground) would balance the picture more and enhance the detail visible?   Posted: 12/13/2025 22:11:11
The bushland surrounding provides context for the subject which is nicely positioned in a gap so that it is on full view. Tonal range and contrast are both strong and the loose framing works well. It is an enchanting image and a touch poetic. Exposure is spot on.   Posted: 12/18/2025 09:15:09
