Anchor is in a park in Portsmouth NH. Cloudless day, so needed to do a little more in post. I didn’t like it with a full white histogram. Anchor had a healthy coat of rust. I shot it handheld iso800, 200mm,f11,and 1/2000 sec and converted in Lightroom.

Did you have an original, curious about if you cropped the shot or not?
Wonderful texture created by the rust.

Bob, I not only like the texture, but I also find the shapes wonderful. Also, you handled the background beautifully. It lets the anchor immediately grab the viewer's attention. Well done!

Hello Bob,
Your photo has an emotive quality; I like how the steel anchor is hanging; I see it as something unique. Because I don't have the opportunity to see anchors where I live in the dairy and corn belt of the country, I see an expression of humanity in the wild, wild west world we live in today.

bob, I love the detail and texture. From a compositional standpoint my eye keeps looking for something to balance out the subject. Possibly more space to the upper right. But then, I wouldn't know if that was good without seeing it. Mark
