About the Image(s)
I made another pass at my local park with my Leica. I found a fisherman with a companion that I decided to photograph. Nice sky at dusk
Workflow: I rendered the image in BW using NIK Silver Efex, a touch of Detail Extractor, the masking tools in LR to dodge and burn the image and removal of distracting elements. No crop this time
Camera: Leica Q3 Monochrom f28 lens 1/160 sec f11, ISO 200, 0 EV

Emil, I love the fact that your images always seem to tell a story. Often, when I see them, I feel I could have been in the scene you captured. You have a real talent for that.
Naturally, I wanted to play with your photograph. I thought the two people were the main story, so I tried to further emphasize them. I made the sky (which is wonderful) a bit less sharp, made a slight crop on the right, removed a couple of objects, and did a subtle change with the lighting. Your thoughts?

Emil. As Pete mentioned, I like how your images tell a story and give a brief glimpse into moment in time. I felt like your main subjects were getting lost in the image. I tried a different crop and gradient mask to darken the sky a bit. I wanted to focus more attention on your subjects. Here is my version of your image.   Posted: 07/12/2026 13:51:25
Chris
Thanks for your thoughts and your rendition - much appreciated. It is going some getting used to the wide prime aperture on this camera. Getting closer will help a lot at the expense of the vista surrounding your subjects.
