About the Image(s)
This is an image captured on 23rd February 2026 from the Jamuna river while flying my helicopter. I was on a local EMS flight from western part of Bangladesh with my Bell 429 helicopter. While flying over the Padma river bed I noticed these beautifully placed boats.
I took this shot with my Samsung S23 mobile camera, with no flash. A simple crop, light adjustment and conversion of monochrome done by cs6 and there it is, for you to give your feedback.
I hope you enjoy the image and any feedback is welcome.

Kamal, I love the composition of this image. The position of the boats is excellent! I'm surprised you're able to do such excellent photography while flying. Were you able to hover for a bit while taking the photograph?
I thought your image was outstanding as is; however, I decided to see how it might look as a panoramic. Your thoughts?

No drone photography for you when you pilot a Bell Helo...The overhead look is captivating.
I like your composition, the boats are positioned well forming a nice "V" as if it was orchestrated. It makes you wondered why are they there?

Emil

Kamal - very well spotted and nicely captured. I actually like the sandbanks on the top of the picture, however I tend to agree with Pete's version, which is more focused.
Nice shot.

Kamal - very impressive image, well composed and that tells a fascinating story about the activity on the river which you were able to capture from a unique perspective.
I actually prefer the crop of your original image as it provides more context about the location and the purpose for the boats being there.
Cheers

Kamal,
Ok, Like WOW! Piloting a bell helicopter, that's fantastic and shooting while doing it is either real talent or something a crazy man would do. But, I love the image and tend to agree with Pete, it's needs to be cropped. The bright textured area at the top of the image competes visually with the main subject. But i think Pete's crop is too tight and needs some of the dune like pattern as an offset to the boats, so here is my go at it. As always, it's your image so go with your gut.   Posted: 04/13/2026 19:37:41
