About the Image(s)

This is an image captured recently, while I was flying from Ruppur Nuclear Powerplant in Bangladesh. On 10th May 2025, in the late afternoon; I was flying back to my base at Dhaka, we were passing the only nuclear power plant of Bangladesh at RupPur. It was a clear sky and the weather was very good and I got a reflection of the Nuclear power plant on the nearby Padma River.

I took this shot with my samsung S 23 mobile camera. With a f 2.4, 1/2712 sec with an ISO of 50, with no flash. A simple crop, light adjustment and using an oil paint filter is done by cs6 and there it is, for you to give your feedback. This image was captured from a distance from a higher altitude from the helicopter.

I hope you enjoy the image and any feedback is welcome.

Syed, a well-composed photograph of an interesting area. It's challenging to get such a good shot from an airplane. Well done!

I noticed quite a bit of noise in the image, so I took it into Camera Raw and removed most of it. While there, I attempted to add some drama to the image by adjusting the sky and water. Your thoughts?

Syed - congratulations on a great image. Were you the pilot to be able to have such an unencumbered view ?

I like Pete's treatment of the image as it adds an extra dimension to the image.

Syed,

The cooling towers dwarf the facility so I tried to bring the eye to them immediately

I started with the original. Did a Denise on it, used a NIK Silver Efex preset to render it in BW and then in Lightroom I added a vignette and cropped it to 16x9. I did remove the towers that are in the reflections.

Regards

Syed very nice perspective and well done. I liked the reflections as well but found that a square format would bring them into better perspective (I used Emils version).

Sayed, I like how you captured the reflections of the cooling towers for the plant. I think Adrian had a good recommendation how cropping your image. It helps bring the reflections more toward the viewer's attention and reduce the distractions on the right side.   Posted: 12/18/2025 15:40:13
