About the Image(s)
I really like photographing in foggy weather. It adds a calming mood.
Workflow: I removed floating debris and plant reflections near the dock using PS (a combination of cloning and paint) and then used NIK Silver Efex and the Detail Extractor. I then went to LR Classic and used the brush tool.
Camera: Olympus E-M1 MKII, 12-100mm f4 at 17mm, 1/320 sec f8 0EV ISO 640

WOW! Emil, you've done it again. It's a spectacular photograph. Like you, I love making images in foggy weather. It not only adds a calming mood but also introduces a bit of subtle drama.
With the drama in mind, I played with your image to see how it might look with even more drama... mostly in the sky. I also cropped a tiny bit off the bottom. Your thoughts?

Thanks for your feedback
I think your changes do indeed add more drama to my lake scene than I had dialed in

Emil beautiful picture. If it was morning it would have made it worthwhile to get up early.
I like the original crop as the emphasis is more on the tranquillity of the overall scene instead of the pier. Along these lines I actually brightened up the image and added some glow and soft focus to emphasize the fog   Posted: 12/05/2024 00:13:47

Emil - what a beautiful picture. Some years ago I tried over many months to capture fog on analog bw film. The results had been sobering. Your picture encourages me to try it again digitally this winter.
Personally I liked a lot the wooden poles, the mist and the tranquility of the sea. I found that the concrete on the left didnt add value and removed it: what do you think?   Posted: 12/11/2024 14:36:54

Emil. This is very nice image. I do like the feel of the photograph and converting it monochrome does enhance the overall feel of the image. The one change I would suggest is the crop. On the left above the dock area, you can see a little bit of the land in the distance. This to me was a little distracting.
Here is my version of the crop. I removed the area of distraction for me and also moved the horizon down a little bit to avoid the horizon being in the middle of the image.   Posted: 12/17/2024 12:57:23
