About the Image(s)
About ten years ago, my wife and I took a river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest. It was a fantastic vacation. The cruise lasted about two weeks, and the ship mostly traveled at night. During the day, we had the choice of taking one of the tours or going off on our own. There were several delightful aspects of the cruise. It was wonderful not to have to pack and unpack as we traveled. However, one of my favorite parts of the trip was the informality of the travel. At one point, the captain said that there had been significant rain “upriver,” and we might be unable to fit under some of the bridges ahead. So, we left the small village where we were docked to go to a more interesting location downstream in case we were stuck for a few days. Then later, toward the end of the cruise, we arrived in Budapest in the early evening. The captain surprised and pleased us when he said, “Let’s go a bit farther, and I can show you an amazing building.”
This image is of that amazing building. Unfortunately, I don’t have the original photograph. Processing was done in Camera Raw. Finally, Topaz DeNoise was used.

What a great cruise you guys experienced.
This immense castle jumps off the page when photographed at night. Wonderful details here Pete.
I am glad you thought to share this image with us.

Very nice image you captured during your trip. I really like how the castle stands out on the night sky. Looking closely at the castle, the right side seems to be leaning back compared to the rest of the structure. This might be caused by the distortion introduced by the 35mm lens. Other than that, I do like how you processed the image.
