Description: We were in France a few years ago and on the day we were scheduled to fly home Air France went on strike. We ended up not leaving until the next day and we spent part of the time waiting in this out-of-the-way area of the airport. I entertained myself by taking pictures, of course. Hope you enjoy it.

Excellent photo .Changing the tone seems to me the right decision. POV is superb, the environment looms into the photo and is a character in the image.   Posted: 09/07/2024 21:33:41

Thank you, Pinaki. I really like your comment that the architecture is a character; a very interesting observation.

Kathleen - I like how you handled the lines in this wide angle view (not easy!) and the added interest of the three people in the waiting area. While the original image in color has some color/tonal contrast I think the edited version could use additional contrast. B   Posted: 09/15/2024 18:20:59

Kathleen, this image is more about the architecture of the Paris airport terminal, and the presence of the people gives us the real sense of dimension. The illuminated line on the roof creates a leading line towards the people which is intercepted by anothe oblique illuminated line, breaking the monotony. A great variety of geometric form created by them and the concrete roof.   Posted: 09/15/2024 19:00:27
