About the Image(s)

This image was taken at the start of the Crofton, BC boardwalk. I was on a bench just waitng and did get a number of images as it was quite busy as it always is. It seemed to slow down a bit and this couple walked past and when they got to the corner they were the onlu two on this section. I did some cropping and removed a distraction on the right as seen in the original and then converted it to Mono in Silver E Fex. I liked this image as to me it showed a couple alone in their own thoughts enjoying the Day. Pentax K3 with DA 18-135 st ISO 320 1/60. f10

Ed, the image has a nice mood, and shows a good B&W interpretation. It is sharp. I like the peacefulness of the place with very few people there. The fact that the couple is holding hands ads some additional warmth.   Posted: 09/07/2023 18:05:06

Ed - I like both your original color and B&W images. Nice lead in to the couple holding hands. You caught both of them with one foot up showing the action as they walk away (in harmony?) down the path. B   Posted: 09/11/2023 13:34:43

Hi Ed. This image has a nice quiet vibe. I really like the way their feet are coordinated.   Posted: 09/18/2023 16:13:59

Ed, great image and rich with tones of black & white. You caught a moment of action with their uplifted feet. I like the diagonal rail on the left providing a leading line to the couple. The interesting textures of foliage and contrast of smooth boardwalk keeps the viewer's eye around the image. The light colored bench is a distraction and perhaps burning to darken it or remove it altogether by cropping is a suggestion.   Posted: 09/21/2023 05:55:08
