Bruce, good eye to capture this image with the people in the opposite side of the street and between the cars bumpers. I like your low vantage point. The B&W interpretation, and the crop enhanced the image.   Posted: 08/04/2026 15:59:21

Thank you Isaac and thank you for the work you put into the PSA. I recently sent links to some photographer friends encouraging them to join the PSA and especially to take advantage of the feedback from the Digital Dialogue sites. It has been and continues to be a great learning experience for me. B   Posted: 08/24/2026 00:43:51

Bruce, I really enjoy the composition as well. The placement of the people takes me right into the center of the image. This was a smart composition. I love the B&W also. I think this was also a great choice to force the viewer's eye on what you intended it to be - the people in the background. Nice job. My only critique....when toning down the hightlights in the sky, pay attention to the image becoming muddy. Maybe try a more subtle approach on that area. It really caught my attention.   Posted: 08/04/2026 22:44:35

Thank you Kerry - this is an image I like as well and based on your feedback and others will definitely go back and try to rework some of the editing. I'm currently trying (trying is the word here) to build a website of my work, mostly wildlife in the area where I live but will also include a link to my street photography. This one, if I can improve it (the sky), will be included. Thanks again. B   Posted: 08/24/2026 00:47:44

This is a great shot. I suspect you tried various croping. It took me a while to understand it. I wonder if you cropped away more of the car on the left and made the couple just a bit bigger the story would be more clear. I debated commenting because it is a great shot.   Posted: 08/13/2026 17:23:53

Thank you Keith. I experimented with various crops but came back to this one to include a bit of the license plate to try to make it clear that it was another car in the way. Best. B   Posted: 08/24/2026 00:50:47

Bruce,

I agree with Keith. I had to look at your image twice before I could figure out what was going on. That said, you did a great job of seeing and capturing an image that tells the story of the never-ending battle between pedestrians and cars in large cities.

I also agree with Kerry that the highlights directly behind the people look a little unusual when compared with the rest of the sky. You may want to consider applying a selective mask to that area to make the transition look more natural.

Best wishes,

Michele - Thank you for your feedback. I am going to give the editing of the sky background another try. Hope I can improve the image as it is one that I like as well. Best. B   Posted: 08/24/2026 00:52:43
