About the Image(s)
Shot in 2012 in downtown Dallas in the square where Kennedy was killed. RAW image with whatever Canon camera I had at the time. Obviously a commentary on our separate lives.

Keith - The photo is well balanced and tells your story well. I think that you could bring up the shadows of the bas relief sculpture in the back and try to reduce the brightness of the worker's shirt to further accentuate the triangle of people in the photo. B   Posted: 07/09/2026 02:17:06
Keith,
I think this is a compelling street photograph that tells a story. The person on the bench appears to be one of the many homeless individuals who have become a visible reminder of how difficult life can be in our society. This contrasts effectively with the neatness and cleanliness of the flower bed. The image looks a little soft, and I suspect it has been cropped. I also find the use of a 16:9 crop for a street photograph quite unusual.
Best wishes,

Keith, I honestly prefer this second image because of the apparent connection between the worker and the person on the bench. It's also much sharper.
Just my two cents, though.

Hi Keith thank you for posting this last one. This is a special image to me and I am glad you violated the rules.... However, I don't think there is any real rule about posting image. I am in other 2 groups and often people submit more of one image. So it is a recommendation but I don't think it is strictly endorsed...
Going back to the image, this is a very intimate documentary/photo journalism one. The person under the blanket suggest solitude and sadness and the reflections in the water just frame this feeling.
great work
