About the Image(s)
Every year in Miami - Wynwood, prior to the big art show: ART BASSEL, muralists are invited to paint a wall, always on top of the previous year paint and probably by another muralist. Each wall is photographed and a book for the year is printed with all of the walls. The "most important" muralist usually paint inside a gated area for which there is an entrance fee.
This image was created at night with a Nikon Z8 with the Nikkor Z zoom 24-200 mm f/4-6.3 @ 24 mm and these settings: ISO 12.800, f/6.3, 1/100 sec. The image was PP in LightRoom, cropped and denoised.

Dr. Vaisman, good photo. Love the intensity in his eyes as he works. The colors are great and appear natural. The image is nice and sharp throughout. The low angle makes the image very intimate and pulls me right into the action of what's going on. The angle you chose was fantastic since he's left-handed. Nice job.   Posted: 07/02/2026 23:34:48
Isaac,
this is a very nice photojournalistic/documentary image. The story behind it is interesting, and capturing it at a focal length of 24 mm meant you had to be very close to the subject, which helps create a strong sense of connection with the scene. Your decision to keep the foreground objects slightly out of focus works well, as it prevents them from becoming distracting. My only minor criticism is the silver car in the background. If you had waited a moment to take the shot when no car was present, the image might have felt even more focused and impactful.
Best wishes

Isaac - Everything about this photo draws my attention to the eyes of the painter. In fact, I had a hard time looking away from him. I'm not sure what the object is along the far right side, but it also helps direct the attention into the frame. The three cans do a wonderful job of framing the bottom of the photo. Your viewpoint, down low, captures the painter's eyes and there is almost an expression of wonder on his face. The photo is colorful and sharp and even though there are a lot of other objects in the picture, they add to the photo without being distracting. B   Posted: 07/09/2026 02:13:01
Awesome. You captured the moment... what he was doing, where, how, and his involvement in what he is doing. My opinion (definition?) about street photograph is catching THAT MOMENT. The technical details are important but secondary.   Posted: 07/09/2026 22:22:09
