About the Image(s)
As a 60s child, roadsters were a passion. We went to rod & custom shows, fairs, and even Hot August Nights in Reno. So, when this bad boy snuck up behind me I just had to get the shot. It's not particularly artistic, even though it's a mirror photo, but as it turned out, the centering didn't require a lot of cropping and the blur of the highway captured the motion. It was just interesting to me being out of the 60s.

Stephen,
I love the perspective you chose here. Red is such a commanding color, and you've captured its power beautifully. My eye goes straight to the main subject in the rearview mirror, and nothing else competes for attention - that reddish?orange vehicle truly becomes the star of the scene.
The longer I look, the more I appreciate the balance created by the three vehicles trailing behind it. They add structure and weight to the composition without pulling focus. Really well done.   Posted: 04/09/2026 02:03:02

Thank you! I will self-critique: the blur in the mirror from dirt and water stains. Not to mention it is cropped and enlarged as much as I dared to preserve the motion blur on the pavement. Ah, those moments! Thanks again, and I appreciate the analysis of everyone, from "It's great" to "it sucks." I'm loving this forum.   Posted: 04/09/2026 02:14:39
I'm glad you mentioned the water spots on the mirror...haha.

Stephen, What a fantastic perspective! Using the rearview mirror to frame that bright orange antique car is such a creative choice. It really captures a "decisive moment" on the open road. That pop of color against the highway is just amazing, and it perfectly anchors the nostalgia of the shot. Great eye!   Posted: 04/11/2026 19:21:04
Stephen, you definitively captured the moment and the image tells a story. Including you taking a picture while driving.... (-:
I agree those cars convey some special feelings

Stephen - Great eye! The orange car certainly captures the viewers attention (as it did yours) and is well balanced with the three vehicles following. I'm hoping that you were a passenger when you took this photo! B   Posted: 04/14/2026 13:14:24
Stephen, it interesting that this mirror image of the Roadster is on the mirror of the driver side. The fact that the ground is blurred, implies movement, so........
