About the Image(s)
Last week I went to the local Thanksgiving Parade in downtown Silver Spring Maryland to photograph my 7-year-old grandson marching with the Cub Scouts.
While walking towards the parade route I came across this couple who appeared to be walking home from downtown shopping. They were being followed by the performers walking towards the parade starting point.

Bruce, I like the face language of the man looking at his companion and of course the happy faces of the giants in the back. Image is sharp, and the colors are very vivid. The crop is appropriate to remove distracting areas.   Posted: 12/07/2025 23:44:27
In the center I see an elderly couple walking calmly down the street. Around them there are tall performers on stilts in bright costumes, which looks unusual and almost like a fairytale. The contrast between the quiet couple and the colorful figures is very strong. The old couple seems relaxed and natural, as if nothing special is happening. The scene feels strange, funny, and thoughtful at the same time. This photo makes me think about age, time, and different worlds meeting in one moment.   Posted: 12/09/2025 07:05:52
Bruce this is a great street humorous image. The expression of the couple contrast with the open smiles of the two performers. More the fact the man is likely to be a pastor makes the contrast even stronger. The image is sharp.
I really love this
best wishes
