While attending a recent folk festival, I spotted this couple sharing a cup of ice cream and watching one of the performances. My first thought was that he was much nicer than me! My motto, “Don’t touch my ice cream”. As the youngest child growing up, I had to learn how to protect my ice cream from big brothers and my father. To this day, I never sampled my children’s ice cream nor my grandchildren’s!

Edited in Topaz Photo Studio and Lightroom (greatly improved tools for removing people). Other edits to shadows and highlights.

Bruce, yes indeed they are sharing the ice cream. I do share with my wife, children and grandchildren. I like the way they are standing together in close proximity, and still enjoying the performance. They are sharp and the background is well managed and not distracting. Posted: 11/07/2025 02:10:54
Bruce, as Isaac said this is a sharp image capturing an instant of everyday life. I think what it works in this image is that the man' eyes are clearly attracted by something while her companion is "stealing" some of the ice cream.
