About the Image(s)
While on a cruise to Cuba, I approached their photographer and asked if we could join him when we landed if he was going out to do some photography. He most graciously welcomed us and I wound up with a treasure trove of subjects.
As we were walking on the main street, we came across this lady just sitting and watching all of the passengers walking by. I did very little to the image. Just kind of straightened the left wall and blurred the TV so as not to distract from her.

Bev, typical image of Cuban People. It is unfortunate that your crop is so tight (or it is the full frame ?) and there is some sort of smudge at the end of the left hand finger. Also, there is an awkward square on the TV screen just above her head. I like her face expression.   Posted: 12/04/2024 16:01:27

The"square" on her finger is a band aid and to be honest I totally missed the square on the TV. Thanks for the input   Posted: 12/04/2024 17:22:39

This captures the moment in the life of the woman well. I missed the square on the TV as well, and I am guessing if you had moved somewhat to include more of the left side of her you would have lost the moment and her facial expression which to me makes the image. There is a wire growing out of her head that could be cloned out quite easy. The woman is sharp and well in focus. I like the image,   Posted: 12/05/2024 20:58:09

This photo evokes many emotions and is therefore very successful. It looks like you missed the focus as the chair in the background behind her is much sharper than herself and the chair she is sitting on.   Posted: 12/09/2024 04:33:49

Bev-Thanks for the back story on this. I admire your initiative to speak with the cruise photographer and join him. What a great opportunity for you! You captured a wonderful expression on this woman. She seemed happy to have her photo taken. I didn't see the other things the group pointed out (until they did) as I was focused on the woman. Bev--I think this is a wonderful image. The woman's expression and the tilt of her head are interesting, as well as her arms and hands. The funny square near her head can be removed. She seems so lively with her colorful scarf. Nice work, Bev.   Posted: 12/19/2024 16:12:23

Like the expression on her face. Smudge on her left finger is little distracting. Maybe you can try to blur the background and see how it looks. The crop is aggressive but I feel it somehow works with her posture and expression on her face. Nice photo.   Posted: 12/20/2024 02:07:09
