Description: These ladies and their companion were enjoying refreshments at a sidewalk cafe in Paris. I like to think this image conveys the essence of Paris cafe culture. I hope you enjoy it.

Kathleen, interesting image in which a lot is going on and does convey the European cafe culture. Several interactions of people. I probably would not have cropped the top this way since it amputated a few bodies. I think the belong into the context of the image. As always, your interpretation of the image in quasi sepia color is appropriate.   Posted: 11/06/2024 21:53:25

I like the image showing a typical activity at a sidewalk cafe. I it is something that is similar to here and relatable the light sepia show up well in this image as the expessions on the faces of the groups of people who although engaged seem to be in their own world (at their own tables with their own companions) I love the dog in the image , looking at his face i feel he seems to be thinking "when are we going to get up and actually do something"   Posted: 11/09/2024 15:27:55

This way of setting up the cafe with seats facing the road, if I am not wrong is unique for Paris. It intrigued me a lot during my several visits there and did shoot a lot to capture that mood. This one is just great. The photo needs to be busy, photos needs to capture the mood of relaxed conversation...it has all. Choice of sepia takes out the tension of the color in the original image. Excellent photo.   Posted: 11/10/2024 19:47:06

As always, my personal taste tends to lean to color as it does here. I think the color lends more life to the image. But then again I'm not often in the majority.   Posted: 11/11/2024 19:15:49

Kathleen - Love the dog! He steals the show at the cafe. I'm another fan of the toning in this image allowing the viewer to not be distracted by the colors. Perhaps darkening the top segment of the photo could provide more focus to the other subjects (maybe a linear gradient in LR). B   Posted: 11/17/2024 23:44:31
