About the Image(s)
This image was taken this past summer Duncan at an annual event promoted as Music in the Park, The event runs for 30 days with different performances all day for the time frame. While I have a number of other images associated with this, this caught my attention as it showed to me the relationship between the girl and the dong. I like the BW version . I used a high iso as much of the scene was shaded and dark particulary the stage. In this case and at this point in time she seemed to be ignoring the music. Iso 800, 145mm, f4, 1/125

Ed, the B&W interpretation gives more character to the image. It is all about the interaction of the woman and her dog. The fact that the back of the dog is touching the frame creates tension. Also there is a discoloration in the shape of a square on the side of the right back leg of the dog which is very obvious.   Posted: 11/06/2024 21:43:32

Don't know how i missed , and was stumped so I went back to the location and think it was the shadow of a sign.   Posted: 11/10/2024 17:47:00

Converting to B&W makes the image more dramatic. I think this was a good decision. The square box seems a little odd though.   Posted: 11/10/2024 19:26:29

Here's where personal taste comes in. I prefer the color as for me it has a bit more life.   Posted: 11/11/2024 19:09:05

Ed--I agree with Bev about the color image seeming more "alive". I would eliminate some of the darkness in the foreground by cropping the bottom edge. Is the title meant to be ironic?   Posted: 11/17/2024 16:26:40

Ed - Sweet image. The woman is clearly enjoying watching what her dog is up to. For this image I prefer the original colors though you would have to 'remove' the blue hat (?) under the tree as it is distracting. Concerning the square mark.... maybe just a weird birthmark (though I seriously doubt it). B
