… been 2 years since going down to this beach after 3 hurricanes and the birds just aren't there much anymore, so glad we did see some now, so even though it's not an awesome shot, I'm just glad to capture it.

I like this photo. Birds are so hard because they move so fast. You even caught a glint in the eye. The large branch to the left of the photo was a distraction. I removed it. I also removed what looked like a pink flag from behind another branch. Posted: 08/01/2026 19:25:30

Carol, what a beautiful woodpecker. You captured it well. I agree with Lori that the branch on the left could be a distraction. What camera did you use? I have found that Topaz Photo AI can work wonders on an iPhone photo. I don't know if Topaz Gigapixel is better. Great shot! Posted: 08/01/2026 20:55:40

This is a wonderful capture of a woodpecker. Birds in flight are so difficult to capture, and you did a fantastic job. The colors in the image are terrific; the sharpness of the image is well done--you can see the food in its mouth and the spot in its eye. Great job! Posted: 08/09/2026 08:20:46
