About the Image(s)
I'm not a big street photography fan, but as an assignment for one club, we had Events, so I went to a Renaissance Faire locally. All the cosplay people loved posing, but I wanted to capture a 'moment'. As we watched a juggling act, I noticed this interaction between the father and son and liked it. I removed the poles behind them in PS (not as well as I want to, but it gives me more to work on later) and cropped in a bit as well as did noise reduction and sharpening in LR.
I just returned from a Florida Photo Conference and feel a bit more motivated to start learning more editing... Hopefully.

This image beautifully captures a natural and tender moment between the child and the father.
I really like how the composition directs the viewer's attention entirely toward the two subjects.
The shallow depth of field, the removal of distracting elements, and the clear rendering of the subjects all work together to enhance the focus on them.
It feels like you have a strong sense of editing, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work. Keep it up!   Posted: 04/01/2026 08:58:37

Street photography is so difficult to understand. I belong to several different social media groups on this subject. If you go with the AI version it will say...A strong composition, compelling storytelling, emotional impact, and the ability to capture a fleeting, authentic moment. I believe that is what you saw in this exchange with father and son.
When critiquing photos, I always look for distractions and/or things that move me away from the subject. In this case I would have removed the sunglass strap from the father behind his head. It takes my eyes away from the subject.
Keep up the fun photos.

This is such a lovely street scene. While the turkey is predominant, the father and son's hands on top of each other play a big role in this image, which is so sensitive and tender.
I, agree with Lori, regarding the sunglass strap that the father has. I, too, would remove it.
