The smoke trailing from the airplane resembles a cloud, giving the image a soft and graceful feel.
The curved smoke trail creates a beautiful flow across the frame, which I find particularly striking.
Capturing such a fleeting moment so cleanly and without any motion blur is truly impressive.

I'm reminded of the Leonardo DiCaprio movie about Howard Hughes. Hughes shot a movie and realized he needed more than planes. He needed clouds to show motion. You achieved this with the planes smoke trails. Try increasing your shutter speed to get more focus on the plane. Other than that...great shot.

This is a wonderful image of a biplane with trailing smoke. Capturing the plane upside down makes the image interesting.
The colors are of the plane are bright and bold, especially against the bright blue sky. A lovely shot.   Posted: 04/13/2026 23:50:00
