About the Image(s)
This was taken at ISO 1000, f 10 & 1/400th of a second. It was a cold windy day. I did some global edits in Camera Raw, increasing the contrast darkening the shadows and highlights. Then brought it into photoshop to remove the dark bushes and deer stand in the background.
I like the old field stone farmhouse. It stands alone in a corn field. I like the lonely feeling in the picture. I am thinking it needs a sepia monochrome and a vignette. What do you think?

Thank you for keeping a little of the foreground in the photo. This helps with the perspective. I wish there was a slight bit more to the left of the building. It seems a little squeezed on that side. You did well to enhance the color, and I wonder if even more would help. Although I do like the softness of this. Good job.   Posted: 01/10/2025 22:01:05

Love abandoned building shots, as they evoke a feeling of lonliness. I like the foreground grasses for the perspective they give. Way to bring out the clouds more too. I agree with Lori, I would like more on the left, as the tree is cut off. Maybe more deeper tones in the roadway or even overall to make the building stand out even more. Nice shot.   Posted: 01/14/2025 20:03:49

This looks like an Andrew Wyeth painting! I agree with Lori and Carol that it would be great to have a slight bit more on the left. It's great the way it is but, for your interest, I added more contrast and a vignette to ramp up the bleakness feeling. It's not better, just different.   Posted: 01/16/2025 09:53:51
