About the Image(s)
This image was taken on a fall outing with my local club. It was a bright cloudless day. I saw the nest and decided to try for a minimalist image. I use a Nikon d7200. This image was taken with a Tamron 18 - 400. It was taken at ISO 800, f/10 for 1/60sec., hand held
I don't do much post processing. I just darkened the highlights, deepened the shadows, and increased the sharpening and clarity. Lastly I tweaked the contrast a smidge.

Linnea, I also liked the image, good subject and good color. Like Lori, I thought some cropping might be beneficial. In addition, I did minor changes in LR, added texture, increased sharpening and then added a vignette. Here it is for your thoughts.   Posted: 12/17/2024 18:48:00

Linnea, I love detail shots like this one. But they are hard to chose a final edit... where to place the nest, portrait/landscape/square, etc. You got great detail in every part and rich color and texture in the old wood. I actually do like Alec's edit with the vignette taking the eye right to the nest and not a lot of extra wall with nothing exciting to look at.   Posted: 12/18/2024 20:42:38
