About the Image(s)
I cut out the woman and added her to the background, adjusting light and shadows. I added the purple half of the blue texture in Linear Light mode at 35%. I added a shadow, and an Exposure 7 filter and a Photo Filter cooling filter.

Less is certainly more! Your cut-and-paste job and filter work are so well done that I feel that I am in the park with this woman. She's bound to turn a few heads with self-confidence and warmth beaming from her face. Nice work.   Posted: 03/05/2025 09:10:54
Thanks very much, Alan!   Posted: 03/15/2025 16:40:14
Peggy, You've created a pleasing image here. I like how you've created a period feel by adding this woman emerging from another time. I am have mixed feelings about the color overlay. Although it is pleasing, I wonder if a different type of lighting might reinforce the time period she comes from.   Posted: 03/05/2025 11:50:45
I know what you mean, Brad. I tried a lot of variations of the colors. A sort of sepia colored one looks more authentic, as does one in b&w and another with a "hand colored" filter. I just couldn't resist the colors on this one. ;0)   Posted: 03/15/2025 16:44:05
Hi Peggy, I think that you take us to the grounds of Downton Abbey, with one of the ladies of the manor on her way to meet somebody important. She feels so alive that you can see her take the next step forward. I think that emerald green and the purple hue are a perfect combination.   Posted: 03/05/2025 12:58:27

Hi Peggy,
You have taken care of every detail in this creation-the light direction, the shadows, the girl walking toward us, and the colors. Everything works together beautifully to create a wonderful image.
As Kirsti said, you transport us to the grounds of Downton Abbey. Well done!

Thanks, Maria!
I'm glad to hear I got the shadow right; I always have trouble with that.   Posted: 03/15/2025 16:45:44

Such a wonderful transformation, especially with the lighting from the initial beach scene. You brought us back to a calmer, more civilized time. As Kirsti noted, it's right out of Downton Abbey and you blended the lady in so well to the background. The texture is just right, perhaps a bit more purple than I would have used, but so compelling and well-done.   Posted: 03/13/2025 16:54:36
