About the Image(s)
Each December I begin to long for the gentle colors of Spring. This has been a very monochrome weekend in my yard. Most of the beautiful autumn leaves have taken their leave, and only one raggedy red rose persists on the rose bush. And so I turned my attention to the photos I took of my ponies in May. “Strawberry-Lime Sunday” was taken with an iPhone 16 pro max. I imported the image into Lightroom Classic, cropped and upscaled it using the new super resolution tool in LRC, made minimal standard adjustments, and added a slight white vignette for a high key presentation. I am certain that in July I will long for monochrome and begin to edit snow images.

I put it into LR and looked at the histogram. The whites in the top right were over exposed and there were no pixels on the left (dark) end of the histogram. I corrected it by moving white and black sliders. The top corner still looked too birght to me so I rotated the image to eliminate that area. I increased clarity and vibrance then went to the tone curve and pulled the mid-tone area down just a bit.
Of course this is just my interpretation and may not suit your artistic taste. Its just another thought to consider.   Posted: 12/16/2025 19:12:05
