About the Image(s)
This image was captured in early summer but just recently post-processed.
Canon R5; Canon 100-500mm lens with 1.4 teleconverter; handheld
ISO 1250; f/10; 1/4000sec.; spot metering
I should have kicked the ISO up so the RAW image is underexposed by 1 1/3 stops. After cropping, increasing the exposure and setting white and black points in LR, I ran Topaz DeNoise. Back in LR I boosted clarity and vibrance. In Color Efex I applied a polarizing filter (neutral) and pro contrast adding just a touch of dynamic contrast. My final step was to increase orange and blue saturation using the color mixer panel in LR. Let me know what you think.

The only thing that bothers me is the blurred green in the foreground...i might have cropped up a bit from the bottom so you have less of it. I also might have darkened the background a bit as would give the Egret more definition. Otherwise nice capture.   Posted: 12/15/2025 16:42:08
