Recently in Devon in the UK walking on this lovely beach, i wanted to convey a slightly dreamy aspect to this image while capturing the sculptured sand. Does this work or is it too wishy washy?! I shot at 1/400 F7.1 ISO400 with my Canon R5 and 24-105 mm lens. In post i moved the clarity & contrast sliders to get this effect.

This image has an abstract quality with mainly horizontal lines which suggests to me a sense of calmness and peace. As I look at the image more I notice the pattern in the bottom half which reminds me of a woven tapestry. I can visualize this as an image on its own, especially turned to a vertical orientation. It would make a great large canvas gallery wrap in my opinion.
I belive the horizon is not straight but tilts downward to the right. That would be an easy fix, so it is something you might want to consider. Posted: 12/16/2025 18:54:39
