About the Image(s)
This summer the water lilies at Longwood Gardens were delightful. I was attracted to this one by its glowing center. I captured the image with a Canon EOS R10 (ISO 500, f/8, 1/320 sec) and Canon RF 18-150mm lens zoomed to 150mm. In Lightroom Classic, the image was cropped and the two bees were removed. The subject was then masked, the mask was inverted and the background rendered black by decreasing the exposure, whites, and highlights. The image was sharpened in NIK* sharpener, and denoised in Topaz AI. To heighten the inner glow, the luminosity of the yellow color was increased in LR.

Oh my Judith, this is lovely. The highlights in the middle of the flower really sets off the center parts (I don't know what they are called) and the varied hue of the blue just makes for an outstanding image. The only thing I would suggest is putting a thin stroke/frame around the image so we know where the frame ends. You should make a book of your beautiful flower creations.   Posted: 11/16/2025 22:00:04
Thank you so very much Pamela!! I agree about the stroke line.

To me this is absolutley beautiful. Everything is sharp. I think Pam is rig about adding a very fine stroke border. Other than that I would not change a thing. Well done in my opinion.   Posted: 11/17/2025 19:28:10

Many thanks Tom!   Posted: 11/20/2025 12:25:47
The yellow flower center almost look like it is lit from below. You should indeed consider a portfolio of your fauna images. This is wonderful.   Posted: 11/21/2025 21:46:02
